SEVERANCE
A sharp ache what severs you
From the web of dreams
Into a dark night
Of fever painted fiends
Hovering leaves and chasing winds
A paling guest within
A stranger by your window
Waiting to be let in
Haunting whispers
Soon will set you free
Die alone in an unknown grave
A moonlike shine on a moonless place
Forever faithful servants serve
A blinded god of darkened days
Let be cut the ties of life
Left behind as death unwinds
Feed on soil eternally
Severance from this diurnal wight
Celebrate... this birth of death
Welcoming... your fall
Thinning of your blood
Life's noose around your neck
The shades are sweeter now
And the hours are blind
Now that you know
You'll never wake again alive
Was this what was meant for you
Would it have mattered at all
A deathbed of regrets could be
Worse than dying soon
Haunting whispers
Soon will set you free
Die alone in an unknown grave
A moonlike shine on a moonless place
Forever faithful servants serve
A blinded god of darkened days
Let be cut the ties of life
Left behind as death unwinds
Feed on soil eternally
Severance from this diurnal wight
Celebrate... this birth of death
Welcoming... your fall
Thinning of your blood
Life's noose around your neck
Don’t you wonder no more
An easy exit through this door
Just let it slip, loosen your grip
Greatest gift forevermore
At least there is a silent thrill
In the piercing frozen steel
Into the skin you wore
As a mask for all these years
Dancing blade
Shall set you free
Die alone in an unknown grave
A moonlike shine on a moonless place
Forever faithful servants serve
A blinded god of darkened days
Let be cut the ties of life
Left behind as death unwinds
Feed on soil eternally
Severance from this diurnal wight
Soon it's over... as if you were
Never there... never at all
Cathartic Demise should by all rights be a household name after this release. I went to see Lamb of God and Megadeth this year, and these guys could have headlined that show, no bullshit. I would put them up there with the top bands, old or new. Favorite track is guaranteed to change over time because it’s all excellent. Metallurgical Fire
Hades have raised and now we have Apokalyps, a mix of chaotic scenarios but not less heavier, thrashy and powerful, a perfect cocktail for the end of days.
Luckily there will be another day to play this album MediZen
